Help for the Holidays

05/11/2021

It was May when I recommended we have a webinar titled, “Help for the Holidays” – a webinar where we would offer tips for people who are grieving, and for people who support those who are grieving as the holidays near.

And suddenly it is November. I look at the calendar, and I see Dec 2nd, Mike’s birthday – so fun to celebrate him and give thanks for him – And then without diminishing our love for Mike, we will pause – because the next date I see is Dec 5th which is Geordie’s birthday, and this is the second birthday since Geordie died, he would have been 32. He would have celebrated with his wife and his fabulous 17-month-old baby. And then I see the 17th, and remember the “full roast dinner” that Geordie made – an early Christmas dinner, “roast with all the trimmings”. Yes, roasted hot dogs, roasted marshmallows, roasted potato chips – all outside, with no dishes. Just the way he liked it. And so on.. the memories keep coming. So, all of a sudden, it is not a webinar for “those who are grieving” and “those who are helping others who are grieving” it is a webinar for me – and a webinar for you.

Join me on Dec 7th to meet with Olivia Tischler, a social worker, counsellor, passionate about supporting people in their grief, and helping communities support one another. Olivia lives in Toronto and works with Andrea Warnick Consulting.

Come and join us for the webinar on Dec 7th, 1pm Pacific Time, 4pm Eastern Time.  Register for the webinar
