This podcast introduces a standardized tool, the Fraser Health Symptom Assessment Acronym, and demonstrates its use in a role play. Bob lives in a rural setting, approximately 2 hours from the nearest hospital. He appears to be experiencing a new pain and the care team decides to assess him. The SBAR is also used for communicating the assessment to the supervisor.
