How I remember singing the song, “This land is your land, this land is my land, from Bonavista to Vancouver Island, from the Arctic Circle to the Great Lake Waters, this land was made for you and me.
Yesterday we stood on the rocks at Cape Bonavista. Wow. It was beautiful. The sun was shining. The sea was calm. We walked the rocky headlands, marveled at the stories of the lighthouse keepers.
We walked to the statue of John Cabot. I took a photo of Ted and John. Ted figured that they should have their photos taken together…. John Cabot had sailed the Atlantic Ocean…. and Ted had sailed the Pacific Ocean in a wee 20’6″ boat… 
We drove south to Elliston and saw Puffins having an apparently glorious time in the afternoon sun – swooping down to the ocean, then back up to the rocky island. And after a few more stops, finished up in the little town of Trinity for a walk in the sunset and some of their fabulous local theater. 
Yesterday’s beauty was only enriched today when we met one of those Heavenly Hostesses, who makes you want to curl up and stay at her Bed and Breakfast forever! So, if we don’t show up at the CHPCA conference, we are with VIOLA at SKIPPERS B&B in Cupid!
