Use these videos to build your understanding of hospice and palliative care. Developed for nurses and front-line caregivers (personal support workers, health care workers, nurse’s aides and nursing assistants) to enhance your capacity to provide excellent care for the dying person and family. Videos are arranged in groups that align with the chapters of the textbooks.
VIDEO ORGANIZATION
Videos are grouped based on the book chapter the topic is in. Check a different category if the video does not appear in the category you think it should. Some videos fit equally into two groups.
Boost your learning with these podcasts on the principles and practices of hospice palliative care. Open access to our podcast library means students and educators can listen and learn at school, at home or when they travel – as many times as they want! Podcast topics include Standard Assessment Tools, Enhancing Comfort and Managing Symptoms, Psychosocial Issues, Grief, Dementia and Bereavement.
PODCAST ORGANIZATION
Podcasts are grouped in the same categories as the textbook chapters. Each group is organized alphabetically by title with the exception of Last Days and Hours. Podcasts in that group are listed in the order recommended for the ideal learning experience.
Check a different category if the podcast is not in the group that you believe it should be with.
We understand that life as an instructor is busy. That’s why we created these presentations to give you a quick start for teaching hospice and palliative care. Each presentation (PPT) follows the relevant textbook and materials, provides a lecture line for teaching, and uses rich and colourful illustrations from the resources. Slide sets also include key concepts for discussion and creatively engaging learning activities to assist students in learning hospice palliative care skills and strategies.
Instructor’s Presentations are conveniently provided in the Instructor’s Packages, which also include a text, workbook, and access to our podcasts, and video library.
