Orientation: The new NACC PSW Module 14 "Care of the Dying….

02/11/2011

I was honoured a year ago when the National Association of Career Colleges announced they had approved our resources (Essentials in Hospice Palliative Care) for use in the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program.

Earlier this year I was thrilled to collaborate with Linda Von Tettenborn and members of the PSW Advisory Committee to write their new “Module 14 -Assisting the Dying Person and their Family: Essentials in Hospice Palliative Care”.

In spring 2011 I completed the  “Instructors Guide for Teaching Essentials in Hospice Palliative Care to Health Care Worker Students”!

Tomorrow at the NACC, Instructor Development Day I will be orientating the PSW Instructors to the new Module 14!  I am so looking forward to meeting the instructors!

Meanwhile, at home, our kids dear “Adopted Grandma Lottie” is not well, and we are experiencing the sadness of not being there to care.
