National Grief and Bereavement Day

National Grief and Bereavement Day is a day that helps us, as a society to normalize grief as part of life.

Losses of all types will occur in life. Grief is the normal, healthy, whole person way that we adapt to loss. Grief is individual. Grieving is healthy and healing. As a society we are not always comfortable in talking about our own grief, or in knowing how to respond to friends who are grieving.

We are delighted to share the work of the Canadian Grief Alliance  –  Check out their education resources including infographics on grief and materials on ways to support someone who is grieving.
