Principles: Scenarios in Hospice Palliative Care with Bob

In this podcast, the basic principles of hospice palliative care are discussed as they apply to the case study of Bob, our patient. His palliative care plan is reviewed and discussed in these roleplays as if he were living in three different settings: urban, rural and in a long term care facility.

  • 0’52” Bob is living in an urban area. His care needs are discussed in terms of his access and the programs available to him in his current location.
  • 6’49” Bob’s case is discussed in a second scenario, where he lives in a rural setting.
  • 10’49” The third scenario has Bob living in a long term care facility and dealing with a chronic illness.
